I updated to 5.0.2 wp. I then tried to update all in one calendar plugin. It failed with some type of html DOC_TYPE configuration error (I didn’t get a chance to write it down).

Now I do not have access to the site or wp-admin; I get the error

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/content/49/3791049/html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/vendor/lessphp/lessc.inc.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5_6/lib/php’) in /home/content/49/3791049/html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/lib/bootstrap/loader.php on line 88

For the file it is trying to include (all-in-one-event-calendar/vendor/lessphp/lessc.inc.php) I do not see the vendor folder in the system. I also do not see a lessphp folder anywhere.

How do I get the site back, and how to get the update to run correctly?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @sybok,

Have you tried to manually upgrade the plugin? If not, please follow the guide: https://time.ly/resources/troubleshooting/perform-manual-upgrade/

    Thanks,

The directions for the manual upgrade state to use the dashboard to deactivate/delete the plugin. I do not have access to the dashboard – I get the white screen error.

I think I need a way to deactivate the plugin from the cPanel file manager so I can run the dashboard.

I have manually upgraded the plugin and it is still happening. I do have access to the Dashboard. Followed all the steps, and still it’s just a white screen when adding a new event.

I also got just a blank white screen of death after updating the plugin. My host customer support was able to disable the plugin, but it seems there is a bug in the most recent version??

For those of you who DO have access to your Dashboard, try rolling back the plugin. I updated today and the newest version ENTIRELY screwed my website up–all of my styling, everything. I had severe issues with the update.

WP Rollback is a FANTASTIC tool to fix issues like this. Just install and activate that plugin, then go to your Installed Plugins page and under each one, there will be a “Rollback” option. I rolled back All-in-One Event Calendar to 2.5.0 and now everything is working *perfectly* again.
