Aligning images in form

I’m using an image for the submit button. Works fine but the button isn’t aligning horizontally at all.

See upper right corner. The little green ‘go’ circle is about 5 px too high.

I’ve tried styling id searchsubmit but it does nothing. Not sure if the header tags in WP are competing.
