AdSense Code being altered in Gutenberg

Hi, we completed our first post using the new block editor and we’re having trouble with integrating AdSense. In the Classic Editor, we would simply insert the AdSense code where we want the ads to appear. In Gutenberg when I paste the code into the Code Editor, it’s reading it like text and adding breaks so the code is useless. Is there a way to work around this?
