  • i’d check out this thread and possible consider disabling the fishpig plugin

    with fishpig disabled if you can log in then you know where the culprit is

    are your plugins/themes/core all up to date?

    let us know!

    I disabled the Fishpig extension in Magento, and got a 404 error on the admin login page. In fact, that put a 404 error on all pages. So, when I turned it back on, all of the live pages then worked again.

    From the thread you referenced, the .htaccess file is set up correctly. Again, I didn’t change anything between it working last night, and not today. I also tried the added code suggestion for the fishpig_wordpress_helper_system, didn’t help.

    I’ll look at the plugins/themes/core, let you know if I find anything.

    I did re-upload a clean version of the wp-admin folder, too.

    if you think you may have a corruption you’ll need to do more than just the wp-admin folder

    0. take a backup of your existing system

    1. download the latest wordpress

    2. unzip it locally on your computer

    3. connect to your server using an ftp client, selecting option to see hidden files if available

    4. delete from your server everything in wordpress’s install folder except wp-config.php and wp-content/

    5. upload from the newly unzipped wordpress files all files and folders except wp-content/ (there will not be a wp-config.php in the newly unzip wordpress)

    I think that did it. Not sure what was wrong, but after deleting and reuploading WP, it appears to be working again (although it’s asking to update the database). Thanks for the suggestions!

    I’ll mark as resolved.

    No problem! I am glad you are back online

    ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS in Chrome. I am just trying to log in to WordPress.org to edit my site, just like I always do. I have cleaned up my history, cache, etc., and haven’t even touched cookies.
    Help me please!!!
