When you go to yourwebsite.com/wp-admin, does it take you to the login page or just the white page?
I get the login page but when I log in I then get just the white page (in Chrome)
Is there any way you can add a screen shot here?
There’s nothing to see.. it’s just blank and white, absolutely nothing on it whatsoever.
I assume something must have changed somewhere but I have no idea what.
That generally means that a plugin or your theme caused a problem. So you will need to use FTP or Cpanel to access your site files on the server and rename the plugins folder here:
wp-content
plugins.HOLD
See if that fixes things.
If not, rename your current theme in a similar way:
wp-content
themes
your active theme.HOLD
That will force WP to use a default theme and hopefully fix the problem.
Cracked it!
FTP’d to plugins, renamed Jetpack and Admin panel was back. Changed Jetpack back and Admin panel vanished again. Renamed Jetpack again and Admin panelis back again.
Good bye Jeptpack!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys.
LOL -well, JetPack can be kinda cranky sometimes. But if you DO want to use it (now or later), the JP support team is really great, so you can always ask them for help. It’s also possible that you could reinstall it now and it might work okay. Updates do that sometimes too.
I notice that I have an update for Jetpack available so I may try that before I banish it to the grave.
Thanks again.
Just removed Jetpack totally and then installed the latest updated version.. activated it and my Admin panel once again vanished.
I will leave it alone for now, don’t want to push my luck.
