    here’s few things to try:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems

    Hi, here some info:
I switched of all plugins and mesured the time it takes to switch pages in admin section. (The problem only affects admin pages)
    + No Plugin: 1 sec
+ Only Events Manager: 3 sec
    + 6 Plugins: 4-5 sec
    + 6 Plugins 5-6 sec
There are three plugins that seem to affect speed more then others in combination with events manager:
    Threads: slow
    wijsia newsletter: slow
FPW Category Thumbnails: very slow till breakdown

    no difference with other theme

    The site is quite large:
    17.500 articles
    8.300 media mostly pictures

I have the feeling, that it has something to do with pictures, thumbnails etc. but i am not sure.

Sounds like the problem could be FPW Category Thumbnails – do you have a lot of categories / thumbnails?

is it possible to try deactivating FPW Category Thumbnails just to narrow down the problem ?

i have to deactivate FPW Thumbnails, Threads and Wysija Newsletter to make admin pages usable. Still slow though. When i deactivate events manager admin section gets fast instantly.

    Hiya,

It would be worth checking with your host what resources your account has available. It may be that you are underpowered for the kind of processing EM is trying to do.

    Thanks
