• Okay, I’ve been searching Google and WordPress forums for hours. Can someone tell me if the is a plugin that adds an artist’s name to a protected photo (right-click disabled photo)? And I don’t mean appending it after the image, but rather embed it as a “credit” of sort, kind of like the way Getty Images does it, but not a watermark smacked in the middle. I’d just like to add text in a corner of a photo, and always have the same text added when I upload new photos to my wp website.

Does that question make sense? I don’t even know if it makes sense to ME. I’ve been searching so long today my head is spinning. Why such a simple question can’t be worded simply for search terms, I have no idea.

Thanks for any help or direction anyone can provide.

    -Tim

  • You can add custom fields to images – read on the following link

If you don’t want to go into the code, I think any gallery plugin should do this for you.

Well, any gallery plugin doesn’t seem to tell me it does it. I’m not into coding, and it would be great if I could find the right plugin. My posts are not in a usual gallery format. I just want my name credited ON the photo, so my name is seen on the image itself. Just wish I had a specific plugin that does just that, and not a million other things I have to wade through. Thanks for the feedback though.

Look into this plugin – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/image-credit/
Didn’t test it but it seems like it’s doing exactly what you want…

Thanks for trying, but that doesn’t do what I want.

I suppose it may be like a watermark on the image that I want, but less opaque. And in one of the bottom corners. Not so that you can’t view an image without the text splattered all over the place, but a nice little area in a corner with the author’s name in a text field. Not a credit when the image is hovered either. Just smack dab on the image itself, for copyright protection primarily.

    Thanks. -Tim
