Adding sponsors to sidebars

    Hallo I’m thinking about making a wordpress blog now i didnt even start there is a problem i want to place sponsor ads 4 times colums 125×125 now the problem is i can change it with my html knowledge just place the it above the sidebar after i made in in fireworks but i almost dont knwo anything about php and so i dont know how to place is and where to do can someone help me?

    find a theme that already has ad boxes,
    or put a text widget in your sidebar and put the html code for your sponsors in the text widget
