I would like to know if it’s possible to add a shortcode to an elementor button. I am using Popup Maker, and I want to initiate a box with a registration form using a shortcode. My Ninja Forms shortcode works fine in the popup, but I can’t launch the popup with an elementor button. Right now I’m using a CSS button to launch the popup, but I’d rather use an elementor button to keep the page look uniform.

    Thanks for the input.

  • @jstigerman – Why not use the Popup Maker click triggers various options to set up the elementor button to work? If you can add a class to the button, a link or even if you can’t you can use Extra Selectors to define your own CSS selector that will target that button. IE #elementor-button-1284 or whatever selectors they offer.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Daniel for the reply. I finally got the button to work using http: with a link to the click trigger using a hashtag and short code. The quest was a good learning experience, but I probably will not use Popup Maker since the popups are not responsive. I can tick the do not use on mobile box, but then I would have a button that didn’t work on a mobile device. I want to avoid that.

@jstigerman – First the popups are responsive by default. If its not working responsively you have either set it to use a custom size or your popups content is not responsive (which we can’t control).

Since it should work responsively once you correct the above issue the mobile issue isn’t so much an issue, but you could make it link somewhere for mobile users and use the custom selector targeting method. Allows you to target any element on the page, even if you can’t edit it, so make the button however you want it to work without a popup, then add the popup as improved functionality.

@danieliser – I had the size setting wrong. I now see the popups are fully responsive. Working like a charm. Thanks

@jstigerman – Awesome! Happy I could help you out. Btw, If you have a moment, I would very much appreciate if you could quickly click that it Works for you and rate the plugin, just to help us spread the word.
