Adding New Registration Fields in 2.1

    Hi,

    Looking at previous posts (pre 2.1) it seems that adding new registration fields is not possible as a plug-in.
    Mods to wp-register.php are suggested.

    Is this still the case in 2.1?

    (It seems the wp-register.php file just references wp-login.php in 2.1).

    I would like to do as much as I can via plug-ins so upgrades of WP are less painful.
