• I was wondering if you know of a way that I can set up multiple pages, each being a separate blog with comments (or forum)?, where I can assign a login to an expert and let them manage the blog/page according to their expertise. So basically the pages would host multiple personalities providing tips to members of my site, these pages all falling under the umbrella of my site.

    thanks for the reply.

One question I have is – looks like I will have the ability to add sites/blogs within my primary domain – like blog1.maindomain.com etc… will updates to my main site theme affect anything to do with these sub-sites? I’m guessing that I can install separate themes & updates on theses sub-sites & it won’t affect my main site?

Is this something that requires additional installation? During an experiment to try & link 2 separate themes together… i was able to install the 2nd theme as 2ndtheme.mainsite.com and they both work fine….does this mean that everything is already in place for me to install multiple blogs within my primary site in this manner, or am I missing something?

You can use different themes for the other sites, and different combinations of plugins too. However, they can’t run different versions of WordPress.

Yes you can go ahead and create as many subsites as you need.
