Adding a picture to a post

    I am new to WordPress and having problem inserting picture into a post. I transferred content from another blog and the pictures loaded fine. But now I am adding my first post on the new site and when I click “Add an Image” nothing happens.

    Can anyone help???

    Hi,

    Check with these options:

    -> Upgrade your wordpress to the latest version
    -> Disable all the plugins
    -> Assign 755 recursive permissions to wp-content directory.
    -> Reset upload image path from wordpress admin area.

    Hi Shane,
    Okay, forgive me and be patient with me please. Very much a newbie.

    -> I have version 2.9.2, would that be the latest because I don’t see a button anywhere to upgrade

    -> I can figure how to disable the plugins

    -> Where is the wp-content directory? Is that on the style.css sheet? Where do I do the recursive permissions?

    -> What part of the admin area would I find to reset the upload? I’m not seeing it.

    I did get it to work after disabling the plugins but will I have to do this every time? That is going to be a real hassle.
