add text string preceding permalink URL

Greetings,

I have a site that is using permalinks for something like:

http://www.somesite.com/%year%/%month%/%day%/%postname%/

and for SEO I want to add text that preceeds the tags:

http://www.somesite.com/a-string-of-SEO-text/%year%/%month%/%day%/%postname%/

I want to add it to all pages, the same string. I’ve tried doing that under permalinks from the wp-admin panel, but it doesn’t work. It seems like it should be something simple to do in htaccess as well, however I do not know how.
