ACF Map field api problem

Hi
I have been using acffef for a while to submit associations on one of our websites but recently the map field has stopped working on the frontend form, the map field displays correctly in the post and the cpt. After checking the page with console it says the api is not connected. i have the api set everywhere i can see but still can not fix this fault.
