Have you checked if the links are set as “Visible”?

Thanks for the reply.
How do I check if they are set to visible?
The database was actually deleted from phpmyadmin 🙁
If you dropped the database and had no backup to restore, then the links are gone forever unless your host can restore some backup.
So assuming you have some database with links, you can go wordpress Manage->Linkx and check the last column (Visible) is set to Yes.
Oddly enough, I am trying to figure out how the Yes can be changed to No, in wordpress 2.5.1 the option isnt there or not really clear.
But Manage->Links is what you need to check.

I have had a look and I do not have anything that has any option for visibility?? strange!
Yes the database was dropped, I dropped the wrong one unfortunately, but for some strange reason, the blogroll widget will not show on the site even though the widget is activated.
When i try and add the links again via the Manage>Links they wont register/save.
Hard to tell exact problem, have a look at Manage->Link Categories as well that should the link categories, not links.
And for each link category there should be a count field showing how many links there are.
If you have no link categories, you need to set one and associate links to link categories.
You can sometimes rescue data from cached copies of your deleted pages in search engines like Google.
If you dropped the wp_links table from your database and don’t have any db backups. You could recreate the table with the default links. Open phpmyadmin and choose the SQL tab and Copy & Paste the table from here
