• When we moved to 5.0, one of the things we couldn’t recoup was the module wrapper functionality. You know, the colorful thing on the right side toolbar of the classic editor that allows you to do pull quotes or asides. We used that button for several features and with it inaccessible, we’ve had to hand code, which has led to mistakes.

So I’m wondering if this feature is somewhere hiding in Gutenberg under another name? The quote block does something similar, but it doesn’t allow for half-width that would include a text wrap.

And before you suggest we just use a block that has the classic editor, we tried that and there’s a “More Options” feature on top of the module wrapper that disables any opportunity to push the module wrapper button. Maybe that’s a bug?

    Thanks.

  • You should ask at whatever plugin you have that provides that “Module wrapper” functionality. It is not part of WordPress or the Classic Editor.
