    Hi,

I’m wondering if I can have a moderator look into removing an abusive review. Nothing but an unverifiable fact and no answer since more than 3 weeks.
Even with all the best will, there is no possibility for us to intervene.
(there is also a post in the support, but here again, no answer)

We really care about our community (plus our plugin is free) and it doesn’t reflect our work!
So, this is unfair and detrimental for us.

    Thanks
    Steve

*Looks. Drinks coffee, mutters “what an incorrect title for this topic”*

I’m sorry but the answer is “no”. That is not an abusive review, it is feedback from the point of view from the user’s perspective. The fact that the poster did not reply to you does not change anything.

You may not like or appreciate it, it may appear to be unfair to you, but it is legitimate feedback from a user. That means it will not be deleted.

Please give this (lengthy!) post about reviews a good read.

    About Plugin and Theme Reviews

The tl;dr is that reviews are feedback from the users for their experience. If you are trying to use or depend on reviews here for sales of your commercial plans then you are making an unfortunate mistake.

    The review will remain.

@netfxs However there is a scenario where reviews will get deleted. That is when a plugin author or someone in their employ or radius creates a 5 start review for their own plugin. That is referred to as “sock puppetry” and is very strictly discouraged.

When that is found then a mail is sent to the plugins team reporting the infraction. The author is cautioned against that sort of behavior. If it happens more than once then the author risks having their plugin removed from the WordPress repository here.

This is all very light hearted and in good humor but please ensure that no one does that for your plugin, OK?

Hi Jan, and thank you for the quick reply.
Ok, my Apologize for title 🙂
    I was reading this :
Do start a support topic before you leave a review. If you have a problem with a theme or plugin please start a support topic about it before leaving a review. Give authors a chance to help you first. Just like the code, their support is offered for free.
when I wondering if that would take place in the context… So I asked!

Thank you anyway and eventually try tea!

Asking is good and appreciated. 😉
