4.4.5 update hanging back end

    I’ve updated 2 sites to iThemes Security 4.4.5 today and in both instances the backend has become unresponsive as soon as the ‘….successfully installed’ message shows.

    Solution has been to restart the browser and login again – at which point everything appears to be back to normal.

    So not a major issue but an annoyance.

    WordPress 4 on a litespeed server.

    Hello,

    I have nearly the same Problem. If I want to update the plugin from 4.4.3 to 4.4.5 it always “crashes” at the extracting message.

    Waiting for hours before refreshing the backend didn´t help. After refreshing the backend, the Warning Message “An automated wordpress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now” appears.

    WordPress 4 on a Apache Server.

    Anyone any advice?

    Problem isn’t happening with 4.4.6 so I’m marking this as resolved.
