I’m able to upload images only without flash. It’s same with NextGen Gallery plugin. It show’s “http error”.
darn.. any fix for this??
you could try adding this line to wp-config.php
define(’ALLOW_UNFILTERED_UPLOADS’, true);
which works for admins only
Same here, cannot upload images after the upgrade.
A Suspect Request has been Rejected
Yes received the same…
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /wordpress/wp-admin/media-upload.php could not be found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Been very annoying and I’ve not been able to post for over a week!
Samboll,
Not to be stupid but I’m new to this… But just what am I suppose to use to alter this php file?

Samboll…
Nope… Added your line to wp-config.php and received the very same error message. I think the folks from WordPress need to get on this as I’m dead in the water until this gets resolved.
Dear WordPress… You know this is utterly ridiculous that I’ve not been able to post a blog going on 3 weeks now because of this problem! Why hasn’t anyone been looking into this and updating this forum thread with any sort of status to this problem?
Regards,
Sean Bond
You may have been unable to post for three weeks, but you only posted about it four days ago, and to a very old thread as well, so cut us some slack. We’re all volunteers doing our best to support several users on our free time, and not everyone can answer every problem.
Now, regarding your problem, here are a few things to try:
1. Since you hijacked chriscodes’s thread, I have no clue what version of WordPress you’re using. If you’re using 2.8.5 like he was, upgrade now.
2. Confirm that the /wordpress/wp-admin/media-upload.php file does exist. if it doesn’t, download WordPress and upload a copy of the file.
3. Deactivate all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
I am currently running 2.9.2 and have no issues uploading images.
I save my images using Photobucket and insert the image on my HTML page.
No fuss, no muss.
