2.6 and Host?

I have one of the recommended hosts and upgraded to 2.6 via cPanel Fantastico. I have had problems with my primary site, but not my secondary site.

My host (AN Hosting) can’t help me. Somehow during the upgrade process, a backup wasn’t made (am I wrong or is it supposed to happen automatically).

At any rate, in spite jettisoning cookies and clearing cache, I still can’t log into my primary site to post, fix the graphics problems that have suddenly occurred, or anything.

My questions are these: For those of you who are having the same problems, who is your host? And how did you upgrade, by Fantastico, dashboard or download?
