Sounds like the same issue I am having with Firefox on a Mac.
I am too having problem with my personal instance of WP 2.5.1, but I do not have the same problem when I tried to upload the same image file to an instance of WP 2.5.1 on my work web site.
PS: I am too using a Mac and Safari 3.1.1
I have the same problem. When I try the exact same action in Firefox 3.0b5 it works flawlessly.
I have the same problem. chmod is okie and wp-content/uploads created.
Using FF on Vista. Any ideas?
