  • Can anyone else help with this problem? I think my installation of Tiny MCE is okay, could there be a problem with my editor.js file?

I’ve read posts about permissions, FTP parameters, gzip compressor plugins, the lot! None have helped.

It’s a common problem. At least I think that’s what your problem is. The files that TinyMCE needs possibly didn’t upload properly.

My suggestion is to kill everything in the /wp-includes folder and reupload them. That’s where TinyMCE is.

Better yet, nuke /wp-admin while you’r at it and reupload those as well. It’s always best when upgrading to delete unneeded files (which is basically everything in those two folders, plus all your *.php files in the root EXCEPT wp-config.php; also don’t delete robots.txt or.htaccess. THEN once all that’s gone, upload the fresh files. 🙂

    HTH.
