thnx samboll but give us the lodown how come a new (so to say) WP rev comes up and lo-profile without the band playing, just appeared in a dark korner of the website.
am i goin nuts or WP founders advice to take up 2.1 which i personally read dissappeared from the site? where is it?
come on tell us if thats it so i migrate to some other platform. be fair
It’s no secret that there are now two branches of WordPress.
The 2.0.x family and the 2.1 line. Both are supported.
No conspiracy. No singling you out. Both are available.
But there’s still no post about 2.0.8 on the blog (so if I hadn’t been over here looking for something else, I’d still be clueless).
One of the *many* things I love about WordPress is the way that information about upgrades is sent out!
[BTW, did I miss the reason the posts in the forum are now marked with relative dates (e.g. “5 days ago,” “1 year ago”) instead of the actual date of the post? Yes, I guess there may be timezone issues, but it is sometimes helpful to know the actual differences between the times of posts with some accuracy.]
Is there a release notes document somewhere for us to know if this update should be installed ? (security-wise mainly)
Actually the developers were kind of keeping the 2.0.8 upgrade low-profile. I believe a 2.0.9 will be released in the coming days and would expect more ‘fanfare’ about that.
