2015 Theme Optimum Graphic Size

    I want to display an image that stretches across the blog post text at the highest resolution practical in the default 2015 Theme. I import high res images but they seem to get reduced when I import them. They seem to be pixelated and soft on display. What is the optimum width size in pixels for images?
