2 different post pages

Hello. What I want to do should be simple but I cant figure it out. Ive searched the forum and the internet to no avail. Right now I post my content to the front page. Thats all fine. I would like to have a second page where I can post different content. I will link to this page from my front page. One thing ive considered is adding a new category and checking that category when I want to post to the second page. The 2 problems with that are

1. the post still show on the front page(cant find a category exluder plugin)
2. the posts appear differently on the category page and are abbreviated

If I could solve those 2 problems, well… I would have no problems. Thanks for any help you can give.
