This isn’t a problem with the theme or WordPress, but a problem with the approach that you’re using to load WordPress into the page – through a ‘frame’. A Frame element is deprecated and may have weird behaviour when using HTML5. How did you set this page up? If it was done through a developer you’ll need to contact them, as you’re not facing a WordPress issue.

Oh you know what, you might be right. I have my Godaddy hosting information set to forward esoguardians.com to the joshgruberman.info/esotga (which I suspect is being done inside of a full page frame)

So I probably need to configure something on the hosting side to properly point to the WordPress site? Any idea how it needs to be better configured? I know this isn’t web hosting support, just figured I’d ask the group of WordPress knowledgeable people before I start tinkering around with GoDaddy 🙂

It may. I am going to raise a quick chat with Godaddy and see if they have any solutions, then I will take a look at that article to make sure everything is in order. I believe that I have to to figure out how to better tell my .com domain name to point to my website subdirectory(WordPress installation) without utilizing frames as to not mess up the WordPress site

So it appears the site is working correctly visibly, but now all of the pages are generating 404 errors. for example, when you are at http://www.esoguardians.com and click on “About Us”, it brings this URL: http://www.esoguardians.com/esoguardians.com/about-us/

I’m guessing this is a reconfiguration needed in WordPress somewhere?

No, there are numerous different headers and I am not sure which scenario applies. All I did was update my webhost forwarding, so I am not certain which of those scenarios will most closely match my symptoms and what I need to do to fix the issue. I was finally able to access the WP Admin page, but there is no CSS style applied to it(if this helps identify the issue)

You need to follow the steps underneath the heading “Moving Directories On Your Existing Server”

This seems royally screwed considering I can’t do step 11 without having access to install plugins. I don’t know how to complete the “Moving Existing Directories” myself, especially since I didn’t move directories. Can I just reinstall my WordPress installation and somehow copy the posts(very few) from this one?

    Hello,

Let’s take a breath, step back and see where you are at the moment or what you have done exactly so we might give you a hand because I see forbidden access at the moment on your site.

That means that somebody either changed the file permissions or the .htaccess is not letting us view the files.

I have not yet understood if you actually ‘moved’ or wanted to ‘move’ your WordPress installation or just make a redirect from one URL to the other.

It’s a totally different topic with different solutions and problems to overcome :). So could you inform me of these:

1] The URL that your WordPress is installed ( or where it should be )
2] The URL that you want to forward to your WordPress.
3] If you want your ‘forwarded’ URL to be your main URL.
4] If you don’t want the above and you actually want to MOVE WordPress into a new folder + URL.

It seems that instead of a proper domain alias and a 301 redirect your site was loading through an iframe if I understood correctly. This means that your WordPress was still on the ‘original filesystem’ and if you changed the WordPress urls without a correct alias / 301 redirect it would never work as it can’t read the URL correctly. If I’m making any sense… ( I know it’s somewhat confusing, but that’s what I understand from the comments above ^_^ ).
