Thanks for your interest in Popups for Divi!
If I understand you correctly, you want to display a static image on your page. When a user clicks on that image, you want to open a popup that plays a youTube/Vimeo video. Right?
The set-up is very simply with Popups for Divi:
1. Create a Divi section and insert an image (your preview image). Edit the image module and choose your preview image + set the “Link URL” to point to “#video1”.
2. Create a new Divi section, give it the class “popup” and the ID “video1”. In this section add a video module and simply copy-paste the YouTube video URL into the “Video MP4 URL” field.
Save the page and exit the visual builder.
You should have a static image and when you click that image, the popup will display your video. Unfortunately the video does not start to auto-play when you open the popup. We’re looking into this to add support for a auto-play-video feature in the future!
