Dashes in Post Title Display as – in Calendar Tooltip

    The title pretty much says it all. If a site admin adds a dash (-) in the post title, the decimal equivalent of an en dash is output inside the tool tip when you hover over that post in the monthly calendar. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @spcaer,

    I can see that the events on your site’s calendar from last month are showing unicode characters for some events in the tooltips. I am unable to replicate this on my test site, even having copied and pasted the characters directly from your events.

    I would try checking your site with the Twenty Seventeen theme enabled and all non-events calendar plugins disabled to check if there is a conflict of some sort. You can read more about this process here.

    If they still appear this way with plugins disabled etc, can you try editing and resaving the event title to see if this changes anything?
