Double Menu on Main Page

    Thank you for being so quick to respond to other posters.

    I have reviewed other posts and have tried all suggestions.

    I am using storefront and woocommerce. I do have many other plugins as well. I have the Max Mega Menu active on the mobile page only, and it does show for mobile devices and tablets, but unfortunately shows in duplicate on the home page on computer devices.

    I have elected “1” in the active menu instances, but am still seeing a double menu on that home page.

    Do you have any other suggestions for this? I am attempting to not have to change code, as I am on the newer side to wordpress customization.

    I understand that my theme must be displaying the theme menu as well as the mobile menu on the computer screens. Is there any way to remedy this?

    Hi Treasure,

    Thanks for posting a link.

    I think you’ll need to untag the menu from the “Handheld menu” menu location. That should remove the duplicate menu and give you your main desktop menu on both desktop and mobile.

    If you want to display different items on the mobile menu, you’ll find “Hide on mobile” and “Hide on desktop” settings for each menu item: https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/menu-item-options/

    That way you can use the same menu structure, but have one set of menu items that only display on mobile, and one set that only display on desktop, or a combination of both.

    So I unchecked the handheld menu box on my WordPress controls, and only the theme menu appears on the main page, but now the menu disappears from cell view altogether.

    My original intention with using Max Mega Menu was so that I could add a background color to the cell menu (and I also love the capabilities of upgrading my main page menu in the future). So it seems that with this plugin I either get dublicate menus on the computer view home screen or no menu on cell view. Any other ideas for me?

    Hi Tresure,

    Did you have the “Max Mega Menu – StoreFront Integration” plugin installed? If not, please install it, then you should see the desktop menu on desktop and mobile.

    Edit: Just to add, if all you are looking to do is change the mobile menu background color, then you just need a few lines of custom CSS. If you’re not sure how to do that you could try asking storefront support (or search their support forums, i suspect it’s been asked before), or try a plugin like SiteOrigin CSS.
