can’t remove bio box

Hi all,

I wanted to remove the author and tag info from my site and used the following css to remove them:

.entry-meta {
display: none;
}

This has removed what I wanted but has left behind and empty column.

How do I remove this as well as all the posts are now pushed over to the right?

Any help greatly appreciated
