• Hi there

I am a newbie here and I am trying to create an online shop with WordPress.

I was attracted to WordPress because the perosn who will be updating / maintaining the content on the site once it is up and running isn’t very techie and I like the easy user interface on WordPress.com, but now I have started looking not this I am getting a bit confused.

Can anyone explain the difference between the two WordPresses to me and let me know whether, if I create a site in WordPress.org, it can be administered online rather than the user having to download WordPress to their machine?

    Thanks

    KPiG

  • WordPress.COM is a host that hosts WordPress-powered blogs.

WordPress.ORG is the place where you download the WP software and host it yourself. (or pay a webhosting company if you don’t have your own server)
