• I’m unable to update the plug-in within WordPress. Any updates need to be made by me downloading the plug-in and installing via FTP. If I update via WordPress, the site breaks and I need to revert to a backup.

    I’ve been using this plug-in for awhile and started with the free version. I thought purchasing the plug-in might help but I’m still having the same issue.

    Please advise.

    Could you let me know what exactly happens when your site breaks?
    If you enable WP Debug in that moment it might be that you see a PHP error, which will be cause of why it breaks.

    In general, updating Types did not provoke PHP errors lately. But it might be that we have a glitch or the server you use has a specific configuration.

    With the above detail I can at least tell if the error happens in Types or not.

    If with this, and trying the steps with Types only does also not solve the problem, I suggest to communicate with us here.
    There I can ask you for a copy of the site, which will make it easier to debug.
