500 – Internal server error. Cannot activate theme.

    I am new to WordPress and made my own theme from a theme template but whenever I ever try to activate the theme I get:

    500 – Internal server error.
    There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

    What cause this? All I have done is change the images of the theme and nothing else. The theme itself works…

    From your description of the error it’s hard to tell. Can you be more specific about what version of wordpress you are using, which theme you are using and the steps you went about to produce this error.

    Check your file permissions. This is what is was for me.
