more help on changing theme colour and background

    I’ve followed the instructions from an earlier post for changing the colour of the menu from pink to turquoise. How do I change it to a different shade (67d9d4)? Also, is there a way of changing the white background of the website name and tagline to either a different colour or inserting a background pattern?

    Hi there, this is the custom CSS needed. You can change the background color code to anything you wish.

    .main-navigation {
	background-color: #67d9d4;
}

    On the background for the header area, add this to change the color.

    .site-branding {
	background-color: #00ff22;
}

    If you wish to add an background image, then use this and replace URL_OF_IMAGE between the quote marks with the url of the image you upload to your media library. I’ve set this to “cover” the entire space with no repeat. This may need some changes because I don’t know what image you are wanting to use.

    .site-branding {
	background: url('URL_OF_IMAGE') no-repeat scroll center top / cover;
}
