This plugin (free version) disappeared from my WP plugins list.
Reinstalling through WP resulted in this error: destination folder already exists.
I did, as recommended, a manual reinstall of the 6.1.1 version via FTP, but this has not solved the problem.

(FYI, I’ve had the same issue in November, back then the proposed solution worked wonderfully. Any advice on how to keep Yoast properly installed at any time, is of course much appreciated as well)

Hello,
This can be caused by a conflict with your other plugins or with your theme. Can you please run a conflict check? You may refer to this kb article: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

This is useful, thanks!

Now I’ve managed to reinstall the plugin on an almost barebones version of WordPress. When I try to activate it, I get:

The plugin does not have a valid “header”

OK, no need to follow up. I’ve found the issue (wrong folder structure)!
