On any of my pages where I’m using a Masonry gallery (which we use a lot for our sites as we really like the way it displays our sponsors’ logos), the gallery will not show up at all.

    For example: http://www.urbancraftuprising.com/preview-night/

There should be a gallery displaying under the ‘Raffle Donors’ heading. We had been discussing this in another thread about a month ago, but I haven’t seen any replies over there about this issue.

Will there be a resolution to the Masonry problem soon? We are about to ramp up into our next show season so if not I will need to start researching other gallery plugins now so that I can implement them easily once things start ramping up.

    Thanks!

    Hi @ristretto6,

Sorry I missed your updates to the previously thread. I’ve updated my ticket with Desandro the developer of Masonry and Isotope as he needed a live link where he could take a look at the problem. He was/is as unsure of how this is possible as I am and truthfully I still believe this is an issue with your theme as the Masonry template is working as expected on numerous other sites and yours is the only issue of this type logged.

I’m eagerly awaiting a response from Desandro so we can hopefully resolve this issue or at the very least get a pointer in the right direction as to what is currently happening.

    Thanks

That may be the case (that it has to do with my theme), but the problem is recent. I’ve been using both my Highend theme and the Masonry galleries for close to 2 years now without any troubles, so I’m guessing it has something to do with a recent update to either the theme or gallery. Please keep me posted!

Also, I just realized that this problem also applies to another one of my sites, which doesn’t use the custom Highend theme at all — it uses the default WordPress TwentySeventeen theme. FWIW!

    Hi @ristretto6,

Could you provide me a link to that site as well? If we could see what’s common between the two it could help us figure out what the issue is.

    Thanks

    Sure, it’s http://campthundercraft.com/sponsors/

I have it set to a responsive gallery right now just so something shows up but I’ll go change it back to masonry for the night as soon as I post it so you can see it non-functioning.

    Thanks!

    Hi @ristretto6,

This may sound strange but could you please try disabling the Mailchimp popup signup form just temporarily on one of the sites, well the plugin that is providing it. Clear your cache to make sure it’s not saved somewhere and then seeing if the Masonry gallery then loads?

    Thanks

Wow, that did the trick. I’m glad that you were able to figure it out but that’s a big bummer because we’ve found that pop-up form to be very helpful in getting new mailing list signups.

Do you think it’s that specific plugin (‘Header & Footer Scripts’) that’s causing the problem, or will any version of that pop-up form cause the conflict?

    Hi @ristretto6,

Unfortunately it is any version of that popup that would cause this. I’ve updated my ticket on GitHub with the Masonry author to include what I’ve found so far as this is a direct conflict between Masonry and Mailchimp. It just so happens that with us using Masonry for a template you are seeing the aftermath in FooGallery.

I’m still waiting on a response on my GitHub ticket however this is an issue that will need to be resolved between Masonry and Mailchimp, there’s nothing I can do at present to resolve it.

    Thanks

    Hi @ristretto6,

Since you’re using the Header & Footer Scripts plugin, could you try adding the sign-up form script to the footer rather than the header so that it loads after Masonry is registered in the page. Hopefully this should allow you to work around the issue for now.

    Thanks

Yes!!! That worked!!! Thank you so much for the fix idea. I’m SO glad I can keep using this plugin and the masonry tiling that we like πŸ™‚
