    Yes, I’m sorry, but the layer animations are only available in the pro version. In the free version you can use main:

    and some background animations:

    Thanks for your response @nextendweb_gabor,
    I think that maybe a few subtle animations for the layers (fade top / bottom) could really help the free version.

    Looking into moving from Revolution slider to smart slider,

    Hi @danstramer

    Originally we wanted to add some layer animations to the free version too, but we hit a wall. We are using a professional grade animation system in the PRO version which is not licensed under GPL. This animation system is required to keep layer animations in sync and we can not do the layer animations without it.

    So the problem is that plugins which hosted on wordpress.org directory must be fully GPL compatible. If a plugin does not comply with GPL, it gets banned until the GPL issue fixed. So it is better to follow the rules, otherwise we aren’t able to provide even the free version for our users.
