I would like to report SITEMAP problem with Yoast SEO and Polylang plugin

I am using WordPress Version 4.9.1 + Yoast SEO Version 6.0 + Polylang Version 2.2.7

Yoast SEO Sitemap works only for default language (English in my case)

http://www.mydomain.com/sitemap_index.xml

however for additional languages like

http://www.mydomain.com/de/sitemap_index.xml
http://www.mydomain.com/fr/sitemap_index.xml

it gives error 404 🙁

Can you check why is that happening?

Yes, I did google it, but I didn’t found the solution 🙁

We apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with our plugin. Yoast SEO creates a single sitemap index for the content on your site. Some multilingual plugin developers use the available filters to divide the single sitemap index into separate language sitemaps. As the customized code is created by the multilingual plugin developer, please report the issue to the Polylang support team.
