changing wordpress root directory

hi! i am a newbie i have installed wordpress on my computer its to its address is http://localhost/wordpress/ i want to change it to http://localhost/myblog/ how can i do this i have tried renaming the folder wordpress and also the wordpress address and blog address but i encounter errors. i hope someone can help me.
