    the only exerience with blogging is using blogspot for my family but on it i think i was able to control the content on the sidebar and limit the number of posts visible and the amount of each post i want to show the title of the most recent posts on the sidebar and then arcive posts over 30 days old. and this is for a mortuary obituaries posting at tatemortuary.com/wordpress
    as it is all posts are visible and no way to navagate them with out browseing each one. any pointers would be appreciated

    To limit the number of posts on the index page, go to your admin dashboard –> Settings –> Reading –> Show at most (number of) posts

    For your most recent posts in the sidebar, there should be a “recent posts” widget, if you go to Appearance –> Widgets
