I am testing the wpforms to update a website from contact 7 and everything was going fine until the ajax stopped working. I’m not sure if its because of wordpress update or anything I have done. You just don’t get the red ajax text at the bottom anymore.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi gdamyanov,

I apologize, but I’m not familiar with the red text you’re describing. I haven’t seen text like this in Contact Form 7, however our forms don’t currently have AJAX so that could be why you’re not seeing an option like this if working in our builder or settings.

If I’ve misunderstood the issue, or if you have any other questions, could you please let me know?

    Thanks! 🙂

When you get something wrong in the form, you have validation text that should appear I believe. You can set that text in Settings under Validation. That text doesn’t appear.

    Hi gdamyanov,

Ok, yes — thanks for the clarification! Yes, you should absolutely see red validation messages when a required field is left empty or certain rules aren’t met. You can check out all of the validation messages in this tutorial.

When you get a chance, could you please share the URL where your form is embedded? From there I should be able to get a better look at what’s happening.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, it’s on localhost so I don’t have a link I can share.
If there is nothing you can think of its fine, I will try to see if I can find if its something I have done.

    Hi gdamyanov,

In that case, I’d recommend running through this troubleshooting tutorial. I don’t believe I’ve seen the issue you’re describing before, but it sounds like a JavaScript conflict — and either way, those steps should allow you to track down the source of the issue.

    I hope that helps!

I found the issue, it was loading mailchimp’s popup script in the header, it was breaking a few things. I fixed it now but thank you.

    Hi gdamyanov,

Ok, great — I’m sorry you ran into that, but I’m glad you were able to get it sorted! And thanks, too, for taking the time to let us know.

    Have a good one 🙂
