• This looks amazing and i’m glad I found out about wordpress. But i’m having some issues. I got it installed just fine, but the index.php that is required at the root interferes with the index.php that I already have for my main URL.

I want the blog to be on an alternate address not right when I open my dot.com URL.

I figured out how to relocate all the core files to a /wordpress directory so it wouldn’t clutter up my root. But it still requires the index.php to be in the root.

Do I need a whole seperate domain name then?

    Thanks for any help!

  • WordPress does not require anything in root, it can all live in whatever directory you want. Just unpack the archive where you want it to live.
