I don’t quite understand but if you are putting an image in your post and the image name shows up but the picture is not there, you should read the sticky above. Pay particular attention to #9.
I add an image to the post, and press preview. The image does not appear. All the coding is there. I look in the library, and all the pictures are there, but when i view them, there is nothing aswell 😕
When you add an image to your post, does the image show up the in the editor?
Did you read the sticky aboove?
I did,
No the image does not show up in the editor.
May it have anything to do with the fact that, before the wordpress became the homepage, it was on /forums/blog-test and the files were saved there, and still are? And the new homepage can’t access them?
Add an image, from computer, URL or Media Library. From computer – you will see the image, from URL you will get a green checkmark if the URL is good, from the media library you will see the image and when you click on show, if you scroll down a little click on file url – that URL should show up and stand alone in a browser. If none of the above happens, your images can’t be found.

Go to dashboard, settings, miscellaneous and look at the first two entries. If your images are somewhere else, that would have to be reflected here. I would move my images however, if they are at a totally different site.
Try using an absolute url to the location of the image. Do not use the preview function – just publish the post and see if it’s there. I insert images into posts virtually every day and never has problems like this.
An absolute url is a good idea (thank you Saurus). I always use them.
But you should be able to successfully use the Visual mode when creating a post and see the image both in Visual mode and Preview if you wish.
I hope you have found a solution to your problem.
