Custom field (title)

I’ve read all the help information in the Codex but don’t have an answer. The question is, if I use the custom field for title — in addition to entering a title in the editor — will the title in the custom field be the title that’s displayed in google?

That’s what I’m trying to achieve, one title for my readers, another in search engine results. If custom fields won’t do that, I’d appreciate any help pointing me in the right direction.
