Possible bug.

I’m not sure this is the place for bug reports, but seeing as there’s a lot of people having this problem, I thought I’d describe it here. My website, for reference, is http://thelemur.net/wordpress
at least, until I have it migrated to the new server:

This appears to be a deeper problem with the actual coding of WordPress.

Firefox appears to be interpreting the information from the rss link as html, and I get this:

but as far as I can tell, the XML output is *identical* to the output when I use the wordpress classic theme. and if I do it there I get:

Internet Explorer throws an error using either theme:
with WordPress classic:

A semi colon character was expected.
Line: 18 Character: 49

with my custom theme:

Invalid xml declaration.
Line: 2 Character: 3

<?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?><rss version=”2.0″

And Opera does this using WordPress Classic:

in my theme it does the same thing as Firefox.
