One Page Mode Issue

Hi, downloaded Bento theme to make a One Page site. Created a new page as per instructions to be in ‘one page mode’ in the Bento online manual, selected Page Builder to add a layout, chose a pre-made layout. Published the page.

RESULT:
The home page is in One Page Mode, but there is a gap between the Header and the hero image. The ‘home page’ can be seen underneath in this gap as if the static page is there as well.

How can I fix this? What am I doing wrong.
