WordPress and theme are gone?

Help! OK I’m new to WordPress. I’m not a coder, just tech savvy enough to get in trouble. I had successfully set up a wordpress site on my server for a friend. My plan was to migrate it to my friend’s server when it was done. Obviously my novice status has resulted in getting things messed up.

I realized after getting WP running on the new server that what I also needed to do was export/import my data from the database on my server to the new one. I’ve been trying to just get back to ‘zero’ on my server but I no longer see my WP design… just what seems to be generic html. Not the default design… no design at all.

Do I need to reinstall WP? I assume my database still OK? If I reinstall will I be able to get the data in the database back?
