Transferring over an old site

    Hello,

    I exported a site correctly, and now want to transfer that backup into another site that was giving me problems (which is why I had to rebuild)

    Would you recommend erasing everything on the destination site and do a clean install of wordpress before importing the source site?

    Will this transfer all the themes and plugins and uploads exactly the same way (for example images in the same date folders)

    Forgive me if it’s already been asked before, I just didn’t find it.

    It is always better to start with a clean WordPress install.
    You can expect everything to be exact replica of the site you exported (same date folders, plugins, users, posts, pages, etc)
