Anyone having problems with .htaccess? | WordPress.org

Hi there,
I have installed the latest build this morning but for some reason the .htaccess file is being ingnored. If I click the comment link I get a 404 error. If I go into admin and then presentation to view .htaccess it says the file cannot be found.
Is therea bug here? I chmod to 666.

Make sure the line endings are correct, if you’re serving on a linux box makesure you’re using LF (rather than CR from a mac or crlf from a win machine).
Transmit (by Panic softwarre) will createe files with CR line endings. apache on linux will not correctly read .htaccess files with CR line endings.

I think there is a bug in this build as half the links in Presentation/Other Files come up with ‘Oops, no such file exists! Double check the name and try again, merci.’
For example can’t access Main Index and .htaccess

I have the same error, using latest 10/05 build, getting the 404. I noted that I got:
http://www.mindofmog.net/archives////updated-to-latest-nightly/
http://mindofmog.net/archives/2004/10/05/updated-to-latest-nightly/#comments
Note it ignored what goes between the slashes. Updating the .htaccess didn’t work either.
