In using the “Primer Theme” I have selected the option to “Allow the featured image on the current post to override the hero image.” This appears to be working in the ‘live preview’ for all pages and posts, but does not actually work when visiting the live site. I am using Google Chrome browser Version 62.0.3202.89 (Official Build) (64-bit).

  • Hi kp2017,

Have you tried clearing your site cache? It’s possible that the initial header images were just stored in your temporary site or browser cache.

    Evan

I’m also having this issue, despite clearing the site cache.

I have checked “Use featured image (Allow the featured image on the current post to override the hero image)” in Customize > Header Media.

Setting the Featured Image for a page displays the image at the top of the page below the hero image, rather than changing the hero image.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi @mountaincravings,

Can you please share a link to any page you are having issues with? What version of Primer and/or child themes are you using?

Hey everyone. I was having this same issue and I got the answer from Evan Herman (@eherman24). If you go to Customize > Header Media > and UNSELECT the check box “use featured image,” then publish/save that, close the customizer. Now go right back in and SELECT “use featured image” and publish/save it should work.
